Become Grounded and Balanced - Health and Wellbeing Benefits of Healing Foot Therapy and Reflexology

Any type of foot therapy, be it a Holistic Foot Therapy Treatment or a Foot Reflexology treatment, can help you to feel grounded and connected to the earth.
The type of grounding that I am talking about, is not about punishment and getting sent to your room or sitting in a corner. The type of grounding is energetic. It’s a grounding used by our own physical energy as well as the universe and earth energy.
Let me ask you if you feel any of the following:
Do you ever feel spacey, scattered or lightheaded?
Have you zoned out and feet lost?
Can be easily distracted?
What about grumpy, agitated, anxious, a lack of feeling calm and keeping your cool?
Easily effected by what's going on around you? (especially other peoples energy and mood)
Feel physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually drained?
Suffering from inflammation, poor sleep, chronic pain, fatigue or poor circulation?
Can you relate to any of these? If you said yes, to anyone of them, then your energetic body may not be flowing and you may be out of alignment and not energetically grounded.
When you are grounded you feel light and free. Your thoughts are better processed and your mind works more optimally in being able to organise and deal with whatever may arise. You will also feel more at ease when stressful situations surround you.
Your body, when grounded, works better. Being "grounded" means that you're present in your body and connected with the earth. When you're grounded, you allow yourself to feel centered and balanced no matter what's going on around you.
Grounding is basically balancing out the spiritual and physical energy in your body, by connecting yourself with the earth. When you are grounded, you feel like you are here, in the physical, in the present. To be grounded gives your energy a point of steadiness and you will feel clear, centered, strong and focused.
Grounding is connected to the root chakra, which relates to inner security and a sense of survival, and also to the feet chakras (which allow us to ‘move forward’ at a steady pace instead of staying frozen in fear or running away).
The energetic meridian lines flow which sets up your overall physical body to function properly. When the meridians are flowing, the energy corresponds to your physical organs and systems that keep them working and functioning the way they should be. Once people realize, and physically see how great they feel being grounded and go with minimal resistance about everyday life, in time they can differentiate the difference of being grounded and not.
Unfortunately, most people are unaware that they are ungrounded, and just carry on trying to survive each day. As a society, we are fast becoming disconnected from ourselves due to technology and being busy "doing" rather than "being", that we have lost touch. Some people are thinkers, not feelers, so you are in your head more than you are in your body. You think about your feelings rather than feel them.
Being grounded is also an essential skill for any empaths and highly sensitive people who pick up on other peoples emotions from the people they meet and the environment around them.
Naturally, fear and anxiety will be present for many of us right now, given what’s happening with the ‘C’ word all over the world. It’s important that we don't get overwhelmed and consumed by everything that’s happening.
We know that laughter is contagious, well so is fear, and it can create a pattern that we can get stuck in. Fear creates stress hormones which in turn shut down the immune system and can then cause havoc to our overall health and wellbeing. The World Health Organization shared that “Stress is the health epidemic of the 21st century”.
“Stress is responsible for up to 90% of illness, including heart disease, cancer and diabetes.”
Your vibration is your energetic frequency, fear is one the lowest vibrations, at this frequency, if experienced long term it can harm the immune system and bring about different physical symptoms.
